Welcome to our Transitions Training Studio
Welcome to Transitions Training at Creating the Space. We are excited that you have landed your eyes on our website and hope to meet you at our Humarock, MA location in the near future. Transitions Training has been in a small studio in Plymouth, MA for the past ten years and we are excited to share that our new location is handicap accessible and located on the first floor of the Creating The Space. We are a fully equipped studio with a variety of GYROTONIC® & STOTT PILATES® equipment and a beautiful view of the South River. We are perfectly “scituated” between the South River and Humarock Beach. As you drive over the bridge from Marshfield into Humarock, we are the second building on the right. Our parking area is directly across from USPS. When you join us for a session you have the ability to wander and “awaken your senses” in the surrounding area before or after your session.
Transitions Training Founder Suzanne Boynton sought movement as a way of healing as a child. Ballet was her starting point, yet Gymnastics was her passion! As a Marshfield High School and Connecticut College gymnast she learned not only the importance of strength, flexibility, and muscle balance for performance, but also the necessity of core strengthening and spine stabilization for healing back, neck and other injuries. She started Transitions Training 10 years ago to provide this education and movement integration experience to others during their healing journey. Suzanne chose to move her studio to Humarock in 2019 to expand this opportunity to others and welcome additional trainers into her space. Suzanne has teamed up with her daughter Stacia Boynton to combine their healing modalities to support a larger audience. We have individual session opportunities that can include the GYROTONIC® method, STOTT PILATES®, NeuroKinetic Therapy®, and kids Movement Based Expressive Arts that help create change in the body and in turn change in the mind.

The GYROTONIC® method - addresses the entire person by opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and improving strength and movement efficiency. With the GYROTONIC® method exercises, each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility. The GYROTONIC® method utilizes specialized equipment to guide, assist, and challenge the exerciser. Fitness enthusiasts, senior citizens, accomplished athletes, and people recovering from an injury or dealing with a disability can benefit from this movement experience.
The GYROKINESIS® Method - is a movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion, and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method, which coordinates movement, breath and mental focus. The Gyrokinesis Method is practiced on a mat and chair, without equipment. Without the feedback and guidance of equipment, participants in a Gyrokinesis class are more dependent on their own proprioception to explore movement sequences.

STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. Lindsay and Moira Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent over three decades refining the acclaimed STOTT PILATES method of exercise. The refined method resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation — making it one of the safest and most effective methods available. STOTT PILATES is recognized as The Professional’s ChoiceTM by studios, fitness facilities, fitness professionals and the consumer market worldwide.
